The most recent service pack is 502 and patch B (502B) and you can get it on
EpicWeb.

Hi,
Â
We have installed Epicor 9 in our machine having OS (Windows 2003 Server-Standard Edition) and Sql server 2005.
After Installation we found that Sql doesn't create Epicor databases.
But Open Edge Progress is working fine.
Immediate solution would be highly appreciated.
Â
Thank you & Regards,
Deepa M

Did it not create, or did it not attach the databases?

This happened many times for me with an installation with all versions of 8.00
and 8.03

Did you start the AppServers and database with the Progress Explorer Tool
first?

Deepa,

Are the appservers actually starting? I know it probably says they are started,
but can you right click on them and select "Status" and does it show them
running?

I have not had the opportunity to install or play with Epicor 9 yet, so I am
typing to you slightly blind but I am assuming that the connection structure
follows the same methodology as version 8 with connecting to SQL. If someone has
installed version 9, feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Did the installation create a 32-bit ODBC Connection?

Did you check to make sure there is a DB Created for SQL? Is there an MfgSys90
in your SQL Management Studio under Databases? If not, look in your default
location for SQL Databases and check to see if there is a physical file called
mfgsys90.mdb and mfgsys90.ldb, if so then you will need to "attach" this DB to
your instance of SQL Server in order for it to work.
