ODBC Error

I am running Crystal 7.0. It was working before beautifully (the day
before). Then yesterday I went to go in and got the error. No, I
haven't installed anything new.

won't? If so have you installed any new software?

We no longer allow attachments to files. To access/share Report Files,
please go to the following link: http://www.egroups.com/files/vantage/
(Note: If this link does not work for you the first time you try it, go
to www.egroups.com, login and be sure to save your password, choose My
Groups, choose Vantage, then choose Files. If you save the password,
the link above will work the next time you try it.)
This is a new issue but not a new install. We are in 4.0. The
connection works when I am not in Crystal, but the error occurs when I
try to connect in Crystal. I am going to check the autoexec.bat file (I
didn't think of that before).

Sonya,
this sounds like it might be just a problem with the settings in your
autoexec.bat file. Set DLC, Promsgs etc. I have also gotten that
message when a workstation somehow gets unmapped to the network drive
letter. If you modify the autoexec.bat file, make sure you reboot. Is
this a new issue or a new install of ODBC? 3.0 or 4.0?

If you are able to connect using other means, then it probably is not the
autoexec.bat file. Many of us have had issues with 4.0 and the ODBC driver.
It seems to me that there was specific issues with the driver and Crystal. I
would try checking the Onelist Archives using the search word "crystal".
Good luck
