I had the exact same problem.
I did this
1)Use the add and remove programs and remove Progress 9.1
2)Delete the folders within the Epic50 folder, you may have to pick the last
few file as some are unable to be deleted as there is a share violation.
There will be about 4 or 5 dll files left and the Vantage.exe you can't
delete
3)Make sure you have Internet explorer 5 on the machine
4)Double make sure that procontrol for vantage 4 is stoped
5)Triple make sure the Admin service for 9.0B is stoped in your services
section, I think that's what I did wrong.
Then Start again doing the install......Good Luck
