Segment Order and Description Order

Heres an odd one, we want to be able to see our GL segments in one order and yet the description in another order. This top level setting would then ideally permeate through all epicor reports and grids etc.

I dont suppose that this is a function that is already been built into Epicor?

I can change the order using Chart of Accounts but obviously this also updates the description order too

You could DMT them all in by marking the Override Description. Then make changing it part of the GL creation process for new accounts.

This is why I love this forum. I didn’t even spot that that field existed. It seems so obvious now, but i hadnt a clue it was even there. Its not a screen I venture into frequently. Thanks John, that’s helped alot
