Setting up a new global alert in 5.10.132?

Create an application to run on the server that refreshes a query every minute (or longer). If there appears new data at the top of the query, process it by sending an e-mail notification to an assigned person or run a report and print the output to a specific network printer.

Another option is to schedule a report at night to combine all specific alerts into one e-mail and send it out or print it to a specific network printer. So in stead of a user getting 20 e-mails for 20 different job changes, the user gets one e-mail in the morning listing all job changes for the previous day.

I do both of the above methods and do not use Vantage's global alerts at all. Doing this since Vantage 3.0 and it has been working great for us.

Subject: [Vantage] Setting up a new global alert in 5.10.132?

From the recent "BAM Class 101" thread, I'm wondering if it's possible
to add new global alerts in Vantage 5.10.132. Specifically, I'm
interested in sending a global alert when a Corrective Action is
assigned. If I can't do it through this version of Vantage, is there
another way?

Thanks,

Todd Gilbert
