Shipping Sales kit components from WIP

Nick, in 9.05.600 Epicor has opened up the configured sales kit features to allow non-stock configured components and we also ship from WIP. This sounds like what you need.

We sell custom door systems for industrial applications. The method we have been trying to use is as follows:

1. Create Sales kit for the custom door system
2. Engineer kit with a mix of custom parts and standard (stocked) parts
3. Write jobs for custom parts
4.Attempt to ship and invoice

Our problem comes from the fact that we cannot seem to ship the custom parts from WIP. The custom parts cannot be marked non-stock otherwise adding them to the sales kit fails. Does anybody have experience issuing sales kit components from WIP? It would be burdensome to receive all the parts to Inventory just to ship them out.

Thank You

Nick
Kits only ship from inventory. You will need to receive the parts into
inventory in order to ship them out as a kit.

We sell custom door systems for industrial applications. The method we
have been trying to use is as follows:

1. Create Sales kit for the custom door system
2. Engineer kit with a mix of custom parts and standard (stocked) parts
3. Write jobs for custom parts
4.Attempt to ship and invoice

Our problem comes from the fact that we cannot seem to ship the custom
parts from WIP. The custom parts cannot be marked non-stock otherwise
adding them to the sales kit fails. Does anybody have experience issuing
sales kit components from WIP? It would be burdensome to receive all the
parts to Inventory just to ship them out.

Thank You

Nick
