The best thing about the RFQ is that you will update the supplier
pricing and lead time information with the supplier responses. Supplier
pricing is looked at with the creation of Job estimates and quotes.

When using the SRM module you get Buyers Workbench which allows you to
see suggestions for RFQs. RFQs can come from the Quote/Opportunity
module (if you are using it), or from Job Entry, or you can create an
RFQ directly in RFQ Entry program. You do not need to create an RFQ and
can still enter a PO directly if you want
