OpenEdge 10.2A is not certified to work with Windows Server 2012, I would
say you are lucky that the Progress install would be working, but I believe
there is a specific problem with the MSSQL connections.

Testing with 9.06.702a on Server 2012 and the Progress version does appear
to work just fine, but I've had no luck getting the SQL version to work in
the same environment.

I am using EpicorDataUpgradeUtility_905700.pdf to convert our 8.03.409C to 9.05.700. This is currently a test and trying to find the gotcha's and write a workflow when doing this live. I have followed the instructions on 36 which states to upgrade to 64bit and backup and restore db to .

After restoring the database to a 64 bit database, I try to start the AppServer for Epicor905 and I get the following errors:

In full disclosure: I backed up from the 32bit environment (which is still working correctly) and restored to another VM configured with 64bit environment. The DB is working on the OE Management Console, but I receive the errors below when starting the AppServers.

OpenEdge does not work correctly(and is not supported) on Windows Server
2012, it is only approved to use SQL 2012 on Windows Server 2008 or 2008 R2.
