Transportation Management System (TMS) integration into Epicor

Hello - we’re looking for a Transportation Management System add-on to Epicor that provides some / all of the following functionality:

  • Carrier Management - Truck, Barge, Train
  • Route & Load Optimization
  • Freight Execution Platform
  • Freight Settlement for Audit & Pay
  • Invoicing Functionality
  • Visibility, Reporting & Analytics

QuickShip provides good functionality for UPS/FedEx/and even some LTL; however, we’re dealing with full truckloads, railcars, and barges. Primarily domestic shipments.

TMS solutions that have been recommended include the following:

  • 3Gtms
  • BluJay
  • Cloud Logistics
  • Descartes
  • Blue Yonder
  • Kuebix
  • Manhattan
  • MercuryGate
  • TMC
  • Trimble
  • Transplace

Any experience that anyone has with these solutions is welcomed.

You should add CH Robinson to the list. I’ve been in talks with QuickShip and it sounds like they are working towards a more complete interface with CHR’s full TMS system. We’ve been looking for a similar multi-faceted LTL+ option as well and have been waiting patiently for QS to be more complete. Specifically we want it to cover international shipments as well as be useful in our European offices. CHR says it’s TMS does these things, but QS isn’t there yet.

I think in Quick Ship 25.1 they have the CH Robinson integration done. It’s listed as an carrier integration anyway. And the QS guys talked a lot about it at Insights this year.

Yes, and Automation Studio can link to QS too for custom integrations with other carriers if one doesn’t want to go with CH Robinson.

Yes! QS works in AS now. Opens up a lot of possibilities with QS.
