"Update of global records not allowed"

Trying to set up security for a new Public Cloud, but I can’t change any of the “Allow Access” or “Disallow Access” under Menu Maintenance as the check boxes are greyed out.

@Mark_Wonsil pointed me to this document


and reminded me of the Actions > Copy Security to Current Company… for which I deserve 50 lashes with a wet noodle for forgetting.

I know this is an old post but I’m encountering the same thing. Does anyone know what the message is referring to?

On Cloud environments, security is handled differently due to the sharing of resources, so this additional step of “Copy Security” is required to modify menu items in Menu Maintenance. This will need to be done for each menu item you modify.
