I have run into this issue in the past. Several suggestions. You are
creating a significant number of jobs. Look at your MRP job sizes
(increase max lot size, multiple, etc) and planning horizons (days of
supply) to aggregate your results to fewer jobs. Every suggested job
creates it's own MOM (method of manufacture). Depending on how
detailed your MOM's are you are creating a lot of data. Worse yet,
when you re-run MRP, it has to delete all of the jobs which you have
not firmed up. Deleting takes almost as much time as creating, since
it has delete the MOM data one job at time. We ended running this on
the weekend initially until we got job sizes under control. We had
not problem importing customer drive forecasts.
