Hi All,
I need to create a link between Customers. Basically, we need it to act exactly like the Parent/Child functionality in Vantage 8.03, but we do not want the customer credit limits of the children to be dependant on the parent's credit limit.
We deal with several companies where the Parent companies have hundreds of child companies. The child companies buy form us regularly but the parent never buys from us.
If we had a parent with 20 children each with a $1000 credit limit, we would have to assign a $20,000 credit limit to the parent company.
Therefore, this means that only one of the child companies could spend all of the $20,000 meaning they have in effect a $20,000 limit.
They should only have a $1000 limit / child company.
To make matters worse, most of our customer parent companies aren't even in the same currency.
For example, the parent company may be in Europe and may buy from us in Euros, whilst some of the children are in the US and buy from us in $.
I still can't get into my head why Epicor do it this way, but apparently it is "functioning as designed".
Does anyone know how to "work-around" this so we can link companies and display which companies are linked to other companies on the Customer Maintenance screen?
Regards,
CHRIS THOMPSON
