We had the same things happening when we went from Vantage 5.0 to 5.2. The
screen flickering on some the low system resources for shure. I found that
the Windows 2000 and XP didn't seem to have the problem. Mainly on Windows
98. One thing in common here was that they were on a subnet. We have two
half class C TCPIP ranges that are routed together with the router of
course. We had major problems that were corrected after reseting a firewall
that was answering routing request for the router. I'd check on your
machines that are really acting up and see if there are any strange network
settings there. The reason we started looking at the network was that one
user was running a junked out Windows 98 machine like a champ. It was slow,
but no lockups. That machine was on the main set of IP addresses and needed
no routing instructions.
FYI

Subject: [Vantage] version 6 tracker problems
Good afternoon all.
Following on todays main thread of tracker problems. We've recently
upgraded to v6 of Vantage and a lot of our users are getting strange
problems when they're in part / job tracker and job maintenance. Some of
the users simply crash others get a low on system resources message, and
the
strangest of the lot, the screen seems flicker between the two windows
that
are open. This happens to these particular users several times a day and
we're struggling recreating the problems so that we can push Epicor to
delve
into it a bit deeper.
I'm hoping some of the guru's out there may have come across something
similar.
Thanks in anticipation
