Our WIP Report keeps getting larger. We complete and close jobs, but
they still show on the WIP Report. Anybody have a clue.

Any and all open jobs regardless of whether or not they started will show up
in WIP. If you open jobs that don't start for 6 months...that job quantity
will show in WIP.
Hope that helps a little. I'm finding the same problem. It affects MIN/MAX
too if you use that for your forecasting.

You have to run the "Capture COS/WIP Activity" routine to get closed jobs to
come off the WIP report. I'll warn you that, after you run this, all
LaborDtl records before the date you enter are permanently uneditable.
That's why I'm very cautious about this. I'll usually pick a day, close a
whole ton of jobs, wait a week or two to make sure I don't need to make any
LaborDtl changes, then run the routine to get them off the report.
I should also say that we aren't using the GL Interface. If you are using
the GL Interface, I think there are some other issues to consider when
running the "Capture COS/WIP Activity" routine.

You probably need to run the "Capture COS/WIP Activity" under Job
Management, General Operations. If you are not familiar with this, I would
read up on it first. It is not something you can reverse. If you are not
familiar with this process, I would make sure that your company
