10.2.300 Locations of Client files

I noticed that on the App Server for my 10.2.300 installation, there are distinct folders for each App:

But on the workstation I’m installing the client on, there is just a single folder for the client files, and the various sysconfig files (for the various Apps) are all in the “…Client\Config” folder:

Won’t there be issues if the various apps aren’t using the same revision DB?

During the client install, should I change the destination folder to include the App name, like the App server has for its local client files?

This is pretty standard Epicor will “self” regulate it can get annoying if you have different versions since it will download and downgrade every time you click on something.
We install our clients in distinct folders in the work-stations too for this same issue. We have 12 app servers

Can I ask why you have 12 app servers… load balancing?

No

Well I mis-spoke we have 30 app servers if we are counting load balancing.
We load balance across 6 actual servers and each of these runs Train, Test, Pilot, Prod and Education (6x4=24)

Then for development we have 1 development server with 6 appservers (one for each developer)

Why? Because we are insane! you know how long it takes us to upgrade? UGH!
