5.0 odbc

Did you add the user sysprogress with the password sysprogress to the
database?
(This is not a vantage user but a progress user).

This is necessary with progress 9.1A and up.

Technical support of Epicor has a little program that can add the user for
you.

Subject: [Vantage] 5.0 ODBC

I am trying to configure an ODBC datasource for eManufacturing. I
can test the datasource successfully. However, when I go to Excel,
Access or any other ODBC compliant application, I can define the
tables that I wish to use but when it goes to access the data in
those tables, I get the following error:

[MERANT][ODBC PROGRESS driver][PROGRESS]Access denied(Authorisation
failed)(7512)

The error message is consistent between all of the applications that
I have tried, (Authorisation failed) error number (7512). I can't
find any documentation on this error message anywhere.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
