It sounds like you need to make a schema change - it's a *.mfg file you
run from the syspro61 folder. If it's your first time you will need to
contact tech support for the password.

Before I waste another half day on this maybe I should ask the experts.
I have created a new address book on our Exchange 2000 Server, under the
All Address Lists folder, called 'RepContacts'. I set the security on
it so that I am included in the list with full control. I also have
full control at the 'All Addres Lists' level. When I try, from Outlook
2000 at my desk(after ading it to the addressing screen), to add a
contact and "Put this entry in.." the 'RepContacts' address book it
tells me "You can not create entries for this address book." But leaves
no clue why not.
Perhaps I am going about this all wrong. What I am trying to do is make
a shared address book which will contain contact info for all of our
independent sales reps. All of our internal sales people will be able
to add/change/delete reps but in particular use them in email messages.
Any pointers in the right direction or advice about how to set up such a
shared contact list would be much appreciated.
