Is there a best approach when uninstalling Epicor 9 from the server to do a reinstall, like any extra things to delete? I need to reinstall it on the server and would like it to be a new install.
The uninstall leaves behind the epicor905 folder so that would have to be
manually deleted.
I would recommend not uninstalling openedge as it doesn’t tend to uninstall
cleanly. But, if you do you’ll likely need to remove the PSC key under hklm
software in the registry before trying to reinstall.

Yes, I see it’s still located in the registry. I hope that does it for me since it’s been giving me some real trouble with installing and getting it working again. Is what the Progress explorer looks at too? That’s not been able to launch either. However, the Administration console shows the database.
Does OE Manage also get installed? I don’t see that listed in the manual anywhere, so I don’t think it does.
Thank you for that information.
I was not able to get this working again so my best option looks like I will install the Epicor 9 on a Windows Server 2008 which is a platform that is compatible with Epicor 9. I will then work on the conversion process on that machine. Then on the Windows Server 2012 R2, get Epicor 10 all setup and then do the final Migration to that server. I think that may be a better option. I see that it is possible to do it this way according to the EpicWeb instructions.
Thanks for all your help,
