The default locations for the physical databases are:
<drive>:\Program Files\Epicor Software\Epicor904\db

I think in order for Epicor to get some level of Microsoft "compliance",
they have to install the software under Program Files but you can move your
databases somewhere else.

I don't know what to say if you don't have a Databases node in PET however.
I did the Automatic Install though. Having OpenEdge on my mirrored C: drive
didn't bother me but I did want my databases to be on my RAID10 drive. I
just restored my production db to a folder on the our D: drive, updated the
..pf file and the database location in PET and was good to go.

I am trying to install Epicor 9 on a fresh new server that meets the
HW specs (64Bit Windows 2003, 64GB Ram) (No IIS). I want to install on
the D drive so I don't use the Open Edge Typical/Automatic Install I use
the Advanced/Manual. I get all the way to 'convert your data' with no
issues. I then stop because I want to test the existing train DB's for
functionality.

The problem is when I go to the Progress Explorer I don't have a
Database Folder? I have the Appservers and all the database Appservers
are running but I don't see any databases.

If I try to run the trainingclient (From the Server) I get to the login
screen, but when I login as manager I get this error 'There is no server
for database (1423)'.

If I try to run the trainingclient (From the TestWorkstation) I get to
the login screen, but when I login as manager I get this error 'Could
not connect to AppServer, Target machine actively refused it'.

I follow the Epicor 9 Installation Guide to the letter and get the same
result every time. Any ideas?
