Ooops – wasn’t paying attention to which group I was posting in. Docs are in EUG files. I’ll send them off-list.

Things to check:
1. Make sure the report is not open in Crystal Developer – they won’t run if open for development
2. When you set the DB location do a Verify Database afterward to tidy things up – then save
3. Check the XML file contents (I use IE as Open with…) and see if it looks reasonable
4. In developer, after setting location to most recent XML, see if it previews
5. Verify Report Style to make sure everything is spelled right – I’ve had this issue more times than I care to admit
6. Also in Style make sure to use forward slashes on the path to the report - /reports/customreports/xxxxxx.rpt
XML based reports have been a snap and are working well. My stumbling block is in doing ODBC based reports outside E10.
There are a couple PDF documents in the files area that cover Crystal Reports details for E10 pretty well.

Has anyone else run into a problem getting Crystal reports setup?
I Have done it a few times with no issue, but this time around I am getting XML created correctly, but I get “System error has occurred! Run in preview mode from System Monitor for details.” HOWEVER, the preview mode is greyed out and not selectable in the System Monitor.
I can’t find anything in any logs either.
Thoughts? I am testing with the Chart of Accounts listing report in the Demo Database.
