Epicor 10 SSRS UD Fields in RDD

Thanks for all the suggestions.
I finally got it. It was one detail I had overlooked.
In the RDD relationship from JobAsmbl>Part, the relation type was Definition Only.
I changed it to Output and yup... hello Part table!

Did you update the select in this query and the fields in the dataset in the report builder? You have to do it in both places. Sorry if you already mentioned if you have or have not, I missed that at some point then.

Hi Jose, this is the query for the JobHead dataset I'm using.

I wasn't sure if I needed to add Part and Company to T6 in the list of fields. I had tried it both ways and still just get no data returned. Thanks.

In Epicor 10.0.700.4 and using SSRS,

I am attempting to add two UD fields to the Job Traveler - Part.Number11 and Part.Character06.

I have successfully been able to add UD fields from the JobOper table (which is already part of the RDD), but I am stumped here.

I'm also not sure if my error is in the RDD, the SQL query or both. I have tried different combinations of Keys, Relation Types, etc.

Right now I have added the Part and the Part_UD tables to the RDD.

I have a Relationship JobAsmbl>Part (no key), definition only, joined on Company and PartNum.

I also added a Part>Part_UD relationship, no key, type Output, and joined on SysRowID>ForeignSysRowID.

From the part table, I have un-excluded Company,PartNum,Character06, and Number11.

I also have un-excluded Character06 and Number11 from the Part_UD table (I have tried it several different ways).

I have added the new report style using this RDD, I print a job traveler, grab the GUID, and go to SSRS.

In the Query expression for the JobHead dataset, I've added the  Character06 and Number11 fields in the expression and to the field list, and added a join to the Part table:

LEFT OUTER JOIN Part_" + Parameters!TableGuid.Value + " T6  ON T1.Company = T6.Company AND T1.PartNum = T6.PartNum"

Do I need to reference the Part_UD table here too?

When I run this report in SSRS, I don't get any errors, but the textboxes where I've added the values for Character06 and Number11 are blank (character06 will always have a value so that is not why).

How much of this is even close to correct?  Any help would be much appreciated.

You do not need to bring in the _UD tables by bringing in the main tables you already have what you need. Remove the _UD tables, and then simply add the field to the DataSet as well as to the Field List in SSRS (from the main table)

Hi Jose,
That was what I originally thought, and had tried that with no success.
I did remove my relationship to the Part_UD table, and then re-ran the report, got the GUID, ensured that my fields Number11 and Character06 were in the field list. I still get no errors, but also no data for those fields.
I also added UnitPrice from the Part table to the RDD, query, and report fields. The UnitPrice field won't populate on the SSRS report either. So, it seems as though the issue has nothing to do with the UD fields themselves, but rather my joining of the part table.
Any ideas on what else I could check? Usually the errors help me figure out the issue, but I'm not getting any so I'm at a loss.

Thanks
Larry

I'm not getting an error. The fields from the Part table are just blank after adding them to the report design and previewing it.
If you do a BAQ against those fields do you get data?

What does your SQL DataSet look like in SSRS?

I wasn't sure if I needed to add Part and Company to T6 in the list of fields. I had tried it both ways and still just get no data returned. Thanks.

Did you update the select in this query and the fields in the dataset in the report builder? You have to do it in both places. Sorry if you already mentioned if you have or have not, I missed that at some point then.

Hi Jose, this is the query for the JobHead dataset I'm using.

="SELECT T1.DueDate,T1.IUM,T1.ProdQty,T1.ReqDueDate,T1.StartDate,T1.Calc_MultiJobParts,T1.Calc_OrderQty,T1.Calc_StockQty, T2.AssemblySeq,T2.BomSequence,T2.Company,T2.[Description],T2.DrawNum,T2.IUM as JobAsmbl_IUM,T2.JobNum,T2.OverRunQty,T2.PartNum,T2.PullQty,T2.RequiredQty,T2.RevisionNum,T2.Calc_BCAsmSeq,T2.Calc_BCJobNum,T2.Calc_BCPartNum,T2.Calc_BCRevNum,T2.Calc_comment, T3.CommentText,T3.DaysOut,T3.DueDate as JobOper_DueDate,T3.EstProdHours,T3.Number01,T3.EstSetHours,T3.Machines,T3.OpCode,T3.OpDesc,T3.OprSeq,T3.PrimaryProdOpDtl,T3.PrimarySetupOpDtl,T3.ProdStandard,T3.RunQty,T3.StartDate as JobOper_StartDate,T3.StdFormat,T3.Calc_BCOpCode,T3.Calc_BCOprSeq,T3.Calc_DispStatus,T3.Calc_OPText,T3.Calc_OPType,T3.Calc_PurPoint,T3.Calc_VendorId,T3.Calc_VendorName,T3.OpCode_OpDesc, T4.CapabilityID,T4.ConcurrentCapacity,T4.DailyProdRate,T4.OpDtlSeq,T4.ProdCrewSize,T4.ResourceGrpID,T4.ResourceID,T4.SetUpCrewSize,T4.SetupOrProd,T4.Calc_BCCapabilityID,T4.Calc_BCResGrpID,T4.Calc_BCResourceID,T4.Calc_CapbltyDesc,T4.Calc_ResDesc,T4.Calc_ResGrpDesc,T4.Calc_SchedResDesc,T4.Calc_SchedResGrpDesc,T4.Calc_SchedResGrpID,T4.Calc_SchedResID, T5.ResourceGrpID as ResourceTimeUsed_ResourceGrpID,T5.ResourceID as ResourceTimeUsed_ResourceID,T5.WhatIf

, T6.Company as Part_Company, T6.PartNum as Part_PartNum, T6.Character06, T6.Number11, T6.UnitPrice FROM JobHead_" + Parameters!TableGuid.Value + " T1

 LEFT OUTER JOIN JobAsmbl_" + Parameters!TableGuid.Value + " T2

I wasn't sure if I needed to add Part and Company to T6 in the list of fields. I had tried it both ways and still just get no data returned. Thanks.

To answer a few questions, the data is present in a BAQ for the Part table.

The query and fields were both updated to reflect the added table and fields.

Did you add the fields to SSRS?
Also if you run a Select * from Part_GUID does the table have data?

Did you update the select in this query and the fields in the dataset in the report builder? You have to do it in both places. Sorry if you already mentioned if you have or have not, I missed that at some point then.

Jose,
I did add the fields to the SSRS report in the query, the field list, and the design form.
I'm not sure what you mean though by running Select *from Part_GUID -
do you mean in the Query statement?

I dont mean add the fields to SSRS in the query did you add the fields to SSRS as in DataSet 0> Fields -> New Field?
Select Select * From Part_GUID I mean if you log in to SQL and Run that command SELECT * FROM Part_GUID (where GUID is the guid if the report you just ran) do you get results?

Did you update the select in this query and the fields in the dataset in the report builder? You have to do it in both places. Sorry if you already mentioned if you have or have not, I missed that at some point then.

I wasn't sure if I needed to add Part and Company to T6 in the list of fields. I had tried it both ways and still just get no data returned. Thanks.
