Dear Classic… it’s time to say goodbye.
We weren’t perfect in our relationship, but we had a rhythm. When we first met, my hair was black… and with every upgrade, I sometimes wonder why it keeps turning white 
We’ve been through a lot together. I first saw you as Epicor Vantage—that’s what they called you before. No matter the name, you were always the same… a little slow, a little lazy, with all the wildness of a teenager—but somehow, you made things work.
Then you grew into E9, then E10… still carrying the same behavior. Stubborn, unpredictable—but dependable in your own way.
I remember when you said goodbye to Crystal Reports and moved on with SQL Server Reporting Services. Crystal was a well-known guy back then, but you chose what was comfortable for you. That was always your style.
We went through everything together—“Unhandled Exception” breakdowns, random crashes, and mysterious errors. We blamed Windows for most of it… poor guy. But somehow, we always managed.
I will miss the small things:
- Your classic buttons
- The binocular search
- Tree views that actually made sense
- Dashboard maintenance
- That creepy code editor (which believed it was the best compiler alive)
- Customization wizards
- And those random buttons… still there, with no explanation
Somehow, all of it just worked for us.
And now… it’s time to move on.
You’re stepping into a new life with Epicor Kinetic—a cloud-first world, full of APIs, AI, and modern screens. No more dependency on machines, no installs… everything just there.
And me… I’m moving with you.
Still learning. Still adjusting.
This new companion is different. Very silent. When errors happen… no shouting, no drama… just silence. And I’m left guessing what went wrong.
Cache seems to be her favorite snack. She keeps eating it and sometimes forgets everything like a short-memory baby
Refresh, reload, clear cache… looks like my new daily routine.
Sometimes she looks very smart—clean UI, modern design, talking about cloud and AI… but inside, I’m still searching for my binocular button and wondering why the same work now takes more clicks.
Maybe I will get used to it.
Maybe this is the future.
Less noise… more guessing

always seems to be late at night I’m smashing the Ctrl+F5 keys… And by that time I realize resistance is futile and go to bed… I get up in the morning and it works… Go figure.
