Method Tracker Blank Title 58163

The problem that I see is that even if you could invoke Method Tracker from
its own Menu entry it does not have a way to search for a Part Number to
pull into it. So they obviously pass the Part Number\Revision to it from
wherever you are linking from.

Yes it is possible to access it fairly directly. I found the method on here
ages back, and we rolled it out to a few users. As far as I'm aware none of
us ever use method tracker directly though! In the Files area of this
forum, go to Files > Vantage 8.X Customizations >
Customization_Method_Tracker.zip

I was shown at one time how to get to the Method Tracker in Vantage

I go to Part Tracker then the revisions tab and right click on the Rev
Textbox and choose Method Tracker. Not sure if there is another way
though.

That doesn't work. It just loads the default Engineering Workbench form. I
have been struggling with this same issue for quite a while. Support says
there is no way to do it, but I still want to believe that there is some
way.

Many have tried... All have (to my knowledge) failed.

I'm like you though... I can't let myself believe there isn't a viable way.

(Just not a big enough relative priority right now to spend time on.)

If you DO find a way and post it, you'll likely have the gratitude of thousands of users around the world.

Based on that, you could probably create an ultra-stripped down PartTracker and add code to autolaunch method tracker when (non-null) p/n or rev changes.

Bah! So it looks like the only way around this is to shell out $$$
for custom programming. You should be able to run this as a menu item
as well as using the built in launch.

I am uploading a customization to the UD40 form that has a single
button.

Click the button to invoke a Part Rev Search - select a row and click
ok and it fires off the method tracker

Change the 'true' to 'false' in the bsa = New....... line and you can
open multiple trackers..
