We have an open sales order (1 line) with Make Direct Check box checked and Ship By date filled out. However, the Order Job Wizard option thru the Actions menu is greyed out. Any ideas why?
Also, Job Type is set to Manufactured.

This has happened to me before when the new line was not added from a quote with an approved method set as Template. Was the Line added utilizing New Line From Quote?

I was just going to ask if this was a stock part with a MOM already approved or a Part-On-The-Fly (POTF). If POTF then @todd.mcgregor is right, the MOM comes from the Quote.

Also, beyond checking for the Line Item, make sure that the RELEASE (of the Line Item) has all the dates filled in… In particular, the need by and ship by…

I’ve ran into this in a situation where the revision was un-approved between the creation of the order and someone trying to create a job. You’ll want to confirm the revision is approved.

go to the planning workbench -
it will show why a job is not created if you use MRP.

The issue was that the part had no Order Quantity. So nothing to release to the job. Simple thing overlooked. Thank you all.
