If you could please send me the screen shots, I'd sure appreciate it. I
tried what you suggested - step by step - and still can't seem to find the
local computer/printer on the remote system. :-(
Does it make a difference if the local computer I was working on was XP
rather than 7?
Thanks!!

From the remote desktop connections - select Options from the left bottom of
the
screen.
Then select the local Resources tab.
Check the box for printers
Select the more button under printers - to add the local drives
Check the drives checkbox to be able to access the local hard drives
Check the other supported plug and play devices to be able to access the USB
flash drives
Hit ok.
Then select the Gereral tab and hit save to save these settings. (Very
important that the settings be saved - do not select save as)
Now when you use remote desktop then you should be able to select the local
printers (Usually it will be the default)
You will be able to read / write to your local hard drives - they show up as
attached drives.
If you have to install drivers on the workstation at the office then just
use
lpt1 port. It will be redirected when you remote in from home.
The install is just to get the drivers on the workstation. (I have not had
to
install the drivers after going to Windows 7 - only on old versions of RDP
back
on Windows XP)
I can send you the screenshots of the setups if you need.
I use it all the time and with many different printers / machines

Mark,
I'm trying to find something a little less cumbersome - sometimes there are
literally hundreds of pages that need to be printed.
But, I'm willing to try anything. As a non-techie..could you please explain
a little further the "shared disc feature"?
Thanks!!!
