Setting up SSRS Breaking/Routing

I am creating a new SSRS report of SO Ack and have created a new RDD and copied the original report to make a new style. The point of this is to adjust the style to reflect our old crystal report and be able to setup some APR to have these be more automated.

The issue I am running into is when I go to select “New SSRS Breaking/Routing” it is greyed out and unable to be selected. I am unsure of what setting I might be missing to be able to use this functionality. Our CAM said we are licensed for APR so I would assume I have the accessibility to it if things are setup correctly.

Breaking and Routing is only available for SSRS reports.

Are you multi-company? If you are and not in the company where the report style was created, it will be greyed out.

Is the report type: SQL Server Reporting and is the Output Location: Database?

Is APR activated? Go to Company and check your license to see if it is active.

Both Licensed and Enabled are true?

No they are both not checked. Which leads me to believe that my CAM was incorrect.

Do you have your last invoice from Epicor? I would check there as it might just be that they need to give you a new license file. I have purchased things in the past that they forgot to activate.

This might be the case as I see that it is available and active in our upcoming Kinetic Upgrade instance but not our current one. Ill have to track down the invoice.

If you did not own it in your current environment, I don’t think a purchase of a newer version is retro-active. I believe it is only on versions going forward.

I wasn’t here when everything was purchased so I am not sure on the exact timeline but it is showing up on the invoice we most recently paid to Epicor.

I will get with my CAM to clarify when they are back in office tomorrow. Thanks for your help guys!

Or use Wayfinder to ask for a new license file. Might have it by the end of the day if you can’t find the one that your Kinetic instance used.

Should the kinetic license and the live license be the same? We are in the process of upgrading and all of that was in place when I arrived so if its just the case of getting the license info I am sure that its around here some where.

Turns out that we started paying for it before I started here and no one ever enabled it in the Admin Console. So seems to be working.
