I always love it when I do not have to maintain something...too much to
maintain already!!
Thanks for the info from everyone!

Subject: [Vantage] Re: Tax connect
We are using tax connect and have been since it first came out.
Our business model is heavily distributor oriented and that presents
problems for Epicor's part of Tax Connect. If you are using Alternate
Bill To or your business model is distributor related - there are a
number of bugs. On 404B the Epicor interface does not pass Alternate
Bill To properly in the interface so taxes are not calculated
correctly in some instances. Another pain is a problem we have where
approximately every 30 invoices Tax Connect stops working, so you can
only invoice in groups of 30 or so - again the Epicor interface has
trouble. There is also a bug where, during bulk address validation if
you have an & (ampersand) in the company name or address, the
interface destroys the name and address that you had on file. From
what I have been told, most of the bugs we hit will be cleared in
406. The Avalara side has worked well. Overall tax connect is easy to
setup - just be careful in your Pilot environment that you have a
development site setup with Avalara or you turn tax connect off or
you'll end up reporting taxes from transactions in Pilot.
The best part of tax connect - No IT maintenance to tax tables or any
of it.
