Trouble shoot an error

In our experiences, 7175 is normally a network issue - common when connecting over wireless networks.

Invalid session - are you running up to the limit of licenses? We have seen Invalid session errors when more people are logging into Epicor than we had licenses - or if people have multiple sessions and are using more than one session running. When user connections are idle, the system will allow their license to be re-used by a new client session, which drops the idle session. We removed multiple sessions from most users expect those that required them, like MES users, this solved our problem. Do you ever have a problem getting a new session after this occurs?

Occasionally I come back to my desk and find an "Invalid Session" popup at which point I need to close the client and reopen.
It rarely also happens while I'm clearly using the application, not leaving it idle.

Can anyone give any advice on trying to trouble shoot this error?
I've used Epicor help on it, but nothing useful there.

No, we're not wireless.
But you're thinking network disconnect?
Vantage doesn't take much interruption to break things.

I can't say I've tracked down the cause of every 'Invalid Session' we've
had, but in my experience it's a network issue nine times out of ten.

That’s what I was thinking. Is this only happening on your PC or are others experiencing it, too?

Yeah, a couple millisecond network blip and Vantage throws up.

That makes sense, we've been having network issues for last few months.

One other question on this subject,
How does this 7175 error differ from the "Invalid Session" one I originally posted?
Both happen when I'm not doing anything, or when in middle of working, either way.
Just curious. Thanks.

We get the 7175 and 7224 errors throughout the day at various workstations. We also get them while we're working and sometimes while we aren't. Some seem to experience it more than others. I am certainly curious as to what causes these errors as tech support hasn't been too helpful other than 'you have a network issue'. From our experience, when we receive an invalid session message it's due to the users session being terminated within the Epicor Admin Console on our server.
