Does anyone know a way to disable the MES menu so it doesn’t show to office staff?
if you mean the “OFFICE MES” app, can’t you just use menu maintenance /security groups?
I cant see any option in menu maintenance to get ri of those items appearing. Essentially what I am trying to achieve is to cut down the search results when trying to find a part of the system by not showing those ‘mobile’ app pages as they are pointless on a desktop version.
I’m not in front of a computer but possibly down the bottom of menu maintenance in the process section?
Otherwise mostly user education, I think.
For mobile there might be a whole “handheld” folder you can deny access to.
Thanks for the reply. I have tried looking on that menu but nothing jumps out that could be it
based on the Menu links:
I found this in Menu Maintenance:
And this:
There’s also a whole menu maintenance app just for MES, at least in 10.2.700
But I think that’s going to give you security and permissions for the actual MES users.
The menu path directs you to the folder in Menu maintnenance.
Thanks for all your help. I have disabled all the handheld things I can see in the menu maintenance and it still shows me the option.
Hi @cgriffincourt
option 1: to disable the menu maintenance completely for everyone by untick this box
option 2: to give only a security manager access, also you can disable web access completely as well.
option 3: to allow or disallow specific users and/or security groups an access
Thanks but I did all of those things and it still shows on everyone’s menu
try recycle the IIS application pool, log off and back on
